A one-day workshop on 'Electromagnetism' for high school teachers of science will be conducted by the Planetarium on Aug 9th, 2018 between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm. The programme aims at discussing the topic through activities that are useful for classroom teaching. Charges Rs.250/- per head.

Lecture on Eclipses      

Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is organising a lecture on "Eclipses" for general public on 25th, 26th and 27th July 2018. The concepts related to Eclipses will be discussed through models and experiments.

Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium is making arrangements to view the Total Lunar Eclipse occurring on 27th and 28th July 2018 between 11:30 pm and 3:30 am provided the sky is clear. Entry is free.

Kaapi With Kuriosity lecture series entitled "The Discrete Charm of Geometry" by Prof. Alexander Bobenko (Technical University of Berlin), is scheduled on 22.07.2018 at 4 pm at Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium.

REAP - for B.Sc. students      

Registration for Research Education Advancement Programme (REAP) in physics and biology is commencing from 15th July 2018 on first come first served basis. No. of students are restricted to 100. Interested students are requested to register at the office in person.

Science Club - HEAT AND ENVIRONMENT       Click here for more..

Science Club is scheduled to be held every second Sunday of the month at 3 pm (on 8th July). It is mainly targeted at the students studying in classes VIII-XII in order to develop scientific temper among them. Interested public can also attend the session. Objective of the session is to understand natural and artificial phenomenon in nature such as heat flow, monsoon, ocean currents, green house effects, etc with emphasis on physics behind them.Entry is free.
