Lunar Eclipse on 7th Aug 2017      

A Partial Lunar Eclipse is occurring on the night of August 7, 2017. The eclipse begins at 22:52 pm reaches maximum at 23:50 and starts receding. The eclipse will be over at 00:48. This eclipse can be seen with naked eye. However, Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium (JNP) is making arrangements to view the eclipse through telescopes. Viewing of eclipse will be possible, only if the sky is clear. Interested public are requested to check sky conditions and then come to JNP for viewing through the telescopes.

ZERO SHADOW DAY      

'Zero Shadow Day' celebrated at 12.17 pm on 24th April 2015 at Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Bengaluru. More than 100 visitors enjoyed the event. It will be shown on 25th April also.

ZERO SHADOW DAY      

Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium, Bengaluru, announces a special event on this Zero Shadow Day which is happening in Bangalore, on April 24, 2015 between 12:00Noon and 12:30pm and also arranged a colourful poster exhibition entitled SUN EXHIBITION for the public. Some of the models which illustrates Zero Shadow Day Phenomenon are also being displayed. Interested public can make use of this rare opportunity and visit Planetarium on April 24, 2015.
