JNP celebrates 'National Science Day' on 28th February by organising different programmes each year. Programmes include thematic poster exhibitions, interactive sessions for teachers and workshops.


"Celebration of National Science Day"

A workshop for college students entitled RAMAN EFFECT ON SCIENCE is scheduled on account of National Science Day on 28th February 2020 between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Entry is free.


"Astronomy through Paper Activity"

A special workshop for general public is scheduled as a part of National Science Day celebration on 28th Feb 2019 between 10:30 am and 3:30 pm. Registration is free.


National Science Day :

A special Astronomy exhibition on the occasion of National Science Day is scheduled on February 28th 2017 between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm. Entry is free.

A two-day exhibition entitled 'Sensing the Light' to celebrate the National Science Day is scheduled on February 28th and March 1st, 2015, between 10:30 am and 4:30 pm. Entry is free.

National Science Day :

Planetarium has celebrated the National Science Day by conducting an interactive session with teachers on 28.02.2014 on the topic - Generating Teaching Resources Using e-Waste. Dr. Keshav Bulbule, Dr. Partha Sarathy and Dr. P Sudhir were resource persons.
